UTSA to conduct minority business program

(March 16, 2009)--The UTSA Minority Business Enterprise Center (MBEC) and the Alamo City Black Chamber of Commerce will conduct the 12-week Minority Business Management Program. A free information session and orientation is 6 p.m., Monday, March 23 in the Institute for Economic Development classroom, Durango Building Room 2.316, at the UTSA Downtown Campus. Refreshments will be provided.

The 12-week Minority Business Management Program will be conducted 6 p.m.-8:30 p.m., April 6-June 29 at the UTSA Downtown Campus. Classes will cover legal, marketing, financial, banking, government contracting and other areas, centering on students developing their own business plans. Guest speakers will include attorneys, CPAs, bankers, advertising agency owners and successful entrepreneurs.

Enrollment for the 12-week program is $400, payable by session 3. A certificate will be presented at completion of the program. View the class syllabus at the MBEC Web site.
