OIT announces RowdySpace upgrade

By Alex Morones
Technical Writer and Editor, Office of Information Technology

(March 4, 2009)--The UTSA Office of Information Technology (OIT) announces a major upgrade to RowdySpace, the university's Web-based file sharing and collaboration tool. RowdySpace provides an online storage area where users can place files for others to view and modify.

With RowdySpace, users who regularly collaborate with colleagues on research have the ability to work on the same files without having to send and re-send documents via e-mail.

In order to make the changeover, RowdySpace will be unavailable Wednesday, March 11. Users who log in to RowdySpace on or after March 12 will be taken to the upgraded version. Current RowdySpace users are not required to make any changes -- all contact information, files and associated file properties (logging, versioning) will be transferred to your new workspace.

If you are new to RowdySpace and you would like to schedule a training session for your department or office, e-mail the UTSA Office of Information Technology.
