UTSA community invited to UJIMA Black Graduation Achievement Ceremony

(Dec. 7, 2009)--The UTSA community is invited to the fall 2009 UJIMA (oo-JEE-mah) Black Graduation Achievement Ceremony at 6 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 13 in the University Center Ballroom (1.104) on the Main Campus. The guest speaker will be Tommy Calvert Jr., president of Calvert International Consulting.

UJIMA is a program that celebrates and honors UTSA's African-American/Black students who will graduate this semester and also celebrates the achievements of African-American/Black community members who have held leadership positions on campus and in the San Antonio community.

The program will include recognition of the graduates, recognition and acknowledgement of Black faculty and staff, and a reception.

The event is sponsored by the Black Student Leadership Council and the Inclusion and Community Engagement Center.
