UTSA facilities announces annual fire alarm testing schedule
(Feb. 26, 2010)--Fire alarm systems at the UTSA Tri-campuses are tested each fiscal year, as required by the State Fire Marshal's Office. In March, alarms in the Humanities and Social Sciences Building and the Arts Building will be tested on the Main Campus and in the Frio Street, Buena Vista Street, Durango and Monterey buildings at the Downtown Campus

Some buildings appear on the schedule twice. These buildings receive a second inspection to put them on a permanent inspection cycle within the state-allowed 13-month interval. Audio and visual alarms including horns, speakers and lights will be tested after 10 p.m. All other testing and inspection of fire alarm system components will be performed between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
