Faculty leading study-abroad programs invited to training workshop
(Feb. 11, 2010)--UTSA faculty members slated to lead a study abroad program this year, or who plan to lead one in the future, should attend a training workshop from 3 to 5 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 23 in the Applied Engineering and Technology Building Room 1.100C on the Main Campus.
Last year, UTSA sponsored more than 100 UTSA students in study-abroad programs, and that number is expected to grow this year. The workshop helps ensure faculty members are well prepared for any emergency. The training class will help minimize potential risk and meet multiple challenges that can occur while working with students and programs abroad.
The sessions are co-sponsored by the Office of the Provost; Office of International Programs; Office of Environmental Health, Safety and Risk Management; Office of Legal Affairs; Office of Student Judicial Affairs and Office of Travel Management.
To reserve a seat at the faculty training workshop, contact Holly Hill, Office of International Programs, at 210-458-7204.
