UTSA Learning Communities seeks student peer leaders for fall 2010
(March 3, 2010)--UTSA Learning Communities is accepting applications for peer leaders for fall 2010. As a peer leader, students serve as mentors to freshmen to help them become more familiar with campus life.
Qualifications for peer leader applicants are:
- Minimum 3.0 G.P.A.
- Full-time or part-time UTSA student
- Any major or classification
>> Download an application at the UTSA Learning Communities Web site or visit the Learning Communities office in Multidisciplinary Studies Building Suite 1.02.04 on the UTSA Main Campus. Applications are due by 5 p.m., Friday, April 9.
A learning community is a group of freshmen with the same major or interests who take two or three of their core curriculum classes together in their first semester at UTSA. Learning Communities is a voluntary program that assists first-year students academically and socially. Any freshman or transfer student with less than 30 credit hours can join.
