UTSA Honors College offers summer 2011 programs in Italy and China
(Oct. 26, 2010)--The UTSA Honors College will host summer 2011 international programs to Italy and China. All UTSA undergraduate students with a G.P.A. of 2.5 or better are eligible to participate in the programs.
Informational meetings are listed below for each program. The meetings will include an overview of each program including cost, accommodations, and travel to and from Italy or China.
- The Honors College Italy program will be June 9-July 4, 2011. An informational meeting is 4 p.m., Monday, Nov. 1 in the University Center Anaqua Room (2.03.08) on the Main Campus. The program will include visits to Venice, Florence and Rome.
- The Honors College China program will be May 9-29, 2011. An informational meeting is 4 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 2 in the University Center Mesquite Room (2.01.24) on the Main Campus. The program will include visits to Beijing, Xian and Shanghai.
Scholarships for both programs are available through the UTSA International Education Fund.

Aproduction of the Gudalupe Cultural Arts Center, Rio Bravo showcases the vibrant music and dance traditions of the Texas-Mexico border region. Featuring the Guadalupe Dance Company and Mariachi Azteca de América, the performances will be filmed live both nights, courtesy of UTSA's College of Liberal and Fine Arts.

Virtual EventIn this workshop, we will review the basic concept of metadata and how it can influence digital projects, particularly those that include images like exhibits and mapping. Through the lens of preserving cultural heritage, you will learn about some of the more popular types of metadata schema and participate in a hands-on Dublin Core cataloging exercise.
