Faculty and staff: UTSA Procard to be provided by different bank
(Oct. 4, 2010)--The bank providing services for the UTSA Procard program will change March 1, 2011, from JPMorgan Chase to Citibank. The Texas comptroller established a new contract for the state's Procurement Card (Procard) program, and Citibank was selected as the new service provider. Most of Chase's services will continue through Feb. 28, 2011, based on transition clauses in the contracts with both Chase and Citibank.
Cardholders and department administrators do not need to take any action at this time and can continue to use current Procards. Over the next two months, the Procard Office will work with Citibank and the Texas Comptroller's Office to set the implementation procedure for the new Citibank Procards. Watch @UTSA for more information.
Departments should not request new Procards during the transition. As the new contract is implemented, the Procard Office will provide key dates, such as when new cards will be received and when existing cards terminate.
