UTSA students and organizations: Hazing Prevention Week is Sept. 26-30
(Sept. 26, 2011) -- The University of Texas at San Antonio will observe Hazing Prevention Week Sept. 26-30. Student organizations and their members are encouraged to participate in the two contests coordinated throughout the week. National Hazing Prevention Week was Sept. 19-23, but was shifted one week later at UTSA to avoid schedule conflicts with UTSA Homecoming.
The banner contest is a competition for organizations and the essay contest is a competition for individuals. Student organizations have the opportunity to win a pizza party by winning the banner contest. The Greek Councils will award cash prizes for the top three essay winners.
Submit entries at the UTSA Collegiate Link website (click on the Hazing Prevention Week flyers). Banner entries are due by 10 p.m., Monday, Sept. 26; essay entries are due at 8 a.m., Monday, Oct. 3.
