Union Pacific hosts UTSA College Day info fair to discuss career options
(May 21, 2012) -- (May 21, 2012) -- Union Pacific recently hosted a College Day in downtown San Antonio at the historic Sunset Station. The daylong event included career information sessions and the display of a steam train with souvenir cars. The event celebrated Union Pacific's 150th year of service and helped kick off Fiesta San Antonio.
Union Pacific brought hiring managers from departments such as finance, operations, IT, engineering and mechanical to discuss career opportunities with the company. UTSA students, faculty and Career Center staff members were on hand for an information session followed by a tour of the steam locomotive and cars.
Through its 150-year history, Union Pacific has offered challenging and rewarding work to fit the needs of a diverse, ambitious and multi-talented population. Union Pacific is expanding operations at its San Antonio hub in conjunction with the Eagle Ford Shale project development in South Texas.
