UTSA departments handling sales must update sales tax calculation by April 1
(March 19, 2013) -- Effective April 1, the City Sales and Use Tax Rate in Bexar County will increase from 8.125 percent to 8.25 percent per the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts.
In light of the sales tax increase, UTSA departments that make taxable sales must update their calculation for charging sales tax to 8.25 percent for any sales effective April 1.
