(May 15, 2013) -- As part of UTSA's commitment to providing a diverse environment that is welcoming to all, UTSA has developed an online training module to increase awareness and knowledge regarding service animals.
The training module is designed to familiarize staff and faculty with the roles service animals play and the various university policies and laws that apply to service animals on campus.
>> By May 1, all staff and faculty received a link via email to the online training module. All staff and faculty must complete the online training module by May 30. The training module should take approximately 10 minutes to complete.
"We encourage all faculty and staff to complete the module as soon as possible after receiving the email link, particularly faculty who may be off campus during the summer," said Dianne Hengst, director of UTSA Student Disability Services. "Thank you for your help in ensuring that UTSA has an inclusive, positive and supportive environment for all."
