UTSA Facilities announces fiscal year 2015 shop rates for services
(Aug. 6, 2014) -- The UTSA Facilities reimbursable shop rate schedule has been revised. The new rates reimburse Facilities for the cost of providing departmental services. Because Facilities does not receive a budget allocation to support these services, requesting departments must pay the hourly rates.
Shop rates are based on the average pay and benefits of Facilities employees performing the work. Work performed during non-regular hours is billed at one and a half times the regular shop rate. Rates include the cost of labor, benefits and a $2-per-hour incidental charge for supplies such as nails, bolts and hand tools.
