Deadeye Coach, developed and marketed by UTSA engineering and business students, gives marksmen the data and feedback they need to fix fundamental flaws in their firing. Created to help soldiers on the range, the product has evolved to address the needs of law enforcement and hunters.
UTSA alumnus Zachary Hamilton came up with the idea for Deadeye Coach when he was in the Army, preparing for his first deployment to Iraq. The start-up, supported by the UTSA Office of Commercialization and Innovation, now includes Matt Gonzales, Matt Jackson, Tessa Willis and Ejiroghene Pinnock.
In December 2010, DeadEye Marksmanship tied for first place in UTSA's $100K Student Technology Venture Competition, organized twice each year by the Center for Innovation and Technology Entrepreneurship (CITE).
