UTSA benefits-eligible employees can receive free flu shot Nov. 4-6
(Oct. 23, 2014) -- UTSA benefits-eligible employees can receive a flu shot at three UTSA clinics Nov. 4-6.
Employees with UT Select Blue Cross Blue Shield coverage receive the vaccination at no cost. For others, the cost is $20. To receive the vaccination, employees must bring their BCBS card.
Students can obtain a flu vaccination at Student Health Services. For more information, visit the UTSA Student Health Services website.

The flu shot offered is a quadrivalent vaccine, which means it is designed to protect against four flu viruses: two influenza A viruses and two influenza B viruses. Officially, flu season runs from October through May, although most flu illnesses in Texas usually occur in December, January and February.
