UTSA Confucius Institute hosts visiting lecturer Chunyuan Huang on Nov. 11
(Nov. 5, 2014) -- The UTSA Confucius Institute will host a lecture by Chunyuan Huang, a UTSA visiting professor and associate professor of international economics at Nankai University in China. She will present "The Growth Path of the Chinese Economy: 35 Years' Experiences and Lessons" at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 11 in Main Building Room 0.104 on the Main Campus.
Huang's presentation will feature the main successes of Chinese economic performance in the world and its dynamic growth path. The presentation also will address four major problems in the economic growth path and focus on the investment and external depending mode of economic performance.
Huang is serving as a visiting professor in the UTSA College of Business and Confucius Institute. She is the first global Senior Scholar of the Confucius China Study Plan, organized by China Confucius Institute Headquarters.
A Nankai University graduate, Huang received a doctoral degree in international economics focusing on Chinese economy and trade policy.
The UTSA Confucius Institute promotes Chinese language learning and an appreciation and understanding of Chinese culture, history and society. The institute also creates cultural and educational exchange opportunities for people in San Antonio and South Texas.
