Romo will discuss the milestones UTSA reached over the past year, including the results of the university’s inaugural capital campaign, We Are UTSA – A Top-Tier Campaign. UTSA launched the campaign in 2009 to raise $120 million to support its advance to Tier One. The campaign raised funds for student scholarships, faculty and research initiatives, campus activities and community outreach programs.
Romo will be introduced by The Honorable Ron Nirenberg, City Councilman, District 8.
Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to attend the event. A reception will follow the address. Parking for community guests will be available in the Ximenes Ave. Garage, accessible from UTSA Blvd.
