Cynthia Rodriguez, a San Antonio native, has made UTSA her second home. She graduated from UTSA in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Shortly after completing her undergraduate degree, Cynthia decided to pursue her Master´s degree in Counseling. While in graduate school, Cynthia assisted the College of Education and Human Development as a graduate assistant. After completing her Master of Arts degree in 1999, she was hired by the Tomás Rivera Center (TRC). She has held several positions within the TRC, but currently, Cynthia is the Director for the Academic Development Program. This program seeks to assist students who have been admitted to UTSA on a provisional basis. She works with many individuals across campus to ensure the success of the program, but the part of the job Cynthia enjoys most is working directly with students and developing the skills they need to become successful college students. Seeing her students graduate from UTSA and move on to professional careers makes her job extremely rewarding. During her spare time, Cynthia enjoys spending time with her husband and chasing around her sons!
