Jessica Avalos-Alvarez earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communication from the University of Texas at San Antonio. In 2009, she completed graduate school at Our Lady of the Lake University, earning a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership. Jessica joined the Learning Communities Team in 2012 and has over five years of higher education work experience. As the program coordinator for Learning Communities, she oversees the Summer Common Reading Experience, plans the out of class Learning Communities' events, and teaches a freshman seminar class. In her spare time, she enjoys running, mountain biking, reading, and rooting for the Dallas Cowboys. She also enjoys spending time with her husband, friends, family, and her newborn baby boy, Solo.
