Alumni Association’s Roadrunner Nation Tailgate has new location

The UTSA Alumni Association’s Roadrunner Nation Tailgate is back! Roadrunner fans are invited to kick off the 2021 football season at The Espee (1174 E. Commerce St.; formerly Sunset Station). Anyone who wants to get “Rowdy” is welcome to join the party.

The tailgate will start three hours before each home game and will include an open bar, food, games and giveaways, along with visits from UTSA Cheer, the Spirit of San Antonio Marching Band and UTSA’s beloved Rowdy the Roadrunner.

The first tailgate of the season starts at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 11, before UTSA’s game against Lamar.

Steve Woodall, interim executive director of the UTSA Alumni Association, is excited to have the Roadrunners back together again.

“We can’t wait to have all of our rowdy alumni, friends and supporters come out to cheer our UTSA Roadrunners,” he said. “It’s going to be a great season!”

RSVP with your Alumni Association membership before the game to get free tailgate admission. Not a member? Friends of UTSA can get a membership for free entrance or pay $20 at the gate. Be sure to bring your digital membership card for quick and easy tailgate admission.
