Directions to Lots B & C (General Parking, Alamodome)

Coming from IH-35 North

Use the New Braunfels Street exit, south on New Braunfels to Commerce Street, west on Commerce Street to Cherry Street, south on Cherry Street and into lots.

Coming from IH-35 South

Use US-90 East to New Braunfels Street exit, north on New Braunfels to Commerce Street, west on Commerce Street to Cherry Street, south on Cherry Street and into lots.

Coming from IH-10 East

Use Hackberry Street exit, north on Hackberry to Cesar E. Chavez Blvd., west on Cesar E. Chavez Blvd. to Cherry Street, North on Cherry Street and into lots.

Coming from IH-10 West

Use IH-35 north to New Braunfels Street exit, south on New Braunfels to Commerce Street, West on Commerce Street to Cherry Street, south on Cherry Street and into lots.

Coming from IH-37 South

Use Cesar E. Chavez Blvd. exit, east on Cesar E. Chavez Blvd. exit to Cherry Street, north on Cherry Street and into lots.

Coming from US 281 North

Use Cesar E. Chavez Blvd. exit, east on Cesar E. Chavez Blvd. exit to Cherry Street, north on Cherry Street and into lots.

Traffic

Due to the high number of guests in attendance for the ceremony, heavy traffic congestion is anticipated in the Alamodome/Downtown areas. Families are strongly advised to arrive at least ONE (1) hour prior to the start of the ceremony. Additional parking options are available in private lots or downtown parking garages. Parking

UTSA is not responsible for parking during this event. Please visit the Alamodome website to plan ahead for parking.

General parking is available in Lots B and C at the Alamodome. The parking rate is set by the City of San Antonio and subject to change. Currently the parking rate is $20.00 parking fee per vehicle, including parking for graduates. Graduates are encouraged to park with their families and then walk to the student check-in area. No drop-offs!

Handicapped Parking

There are limited marked handicapped parking spaces in Lot A, at $20.00 per vehicle. Once allotted marked handicapped spaces have been filled, guests will still be able to park in Lot A at $20.00 per vehicle. Disabled guests may enter at the south entrance and plaza level of the Alamodome.

Lot A Egress

There is a new egress plan for families who have a disabled parking pass for Lot A at the Alamodome. After the ceremony is over, traffic exiting Lot A onto the IH-37 Frontage Road will be directed left toward westbound Cesar Chavez Boulevard or southbound IH-37. This new exit route will be in effect for approximately two hours following the ceremony.
