Meet the Instructor
Ryan McPherson, M.A.
Ryan McPherson is an associate professor of practice in the Department of Communication at the University of Texas at San Antonio. Ryan works as a communication consultant, instructional designer, speaker, entrepreneur, and storyteller. He has developed 20 university communication courses on topics such as organizational development, business communication, marketing, instructional communication, and persuasion since 2004.
Ryan is a lifetime member of the National Storytelling Network, a member of the Tejas Storytelling Association, past president of the San Antonio Storytelling Association, and founder of the UTSA StorySLAM!.
Ryan graduated from Texas State University with a master’s degree in Communication Studies and a certificate in Corporate Communication Training and Development.
