San Pedro II

UTSA is working to expand its nationally-ranked business education programs and programming centered in a new state-of-the-art, interdisciplinary university building located in downtown San Antonio. This initiative leverages the broad needs and opportunities that exist in San Antonio, allowing UTSA to meet San Antonio’s escalating workforce needs, facilitate connecting UTSA students with experiential learning and career-engagement opportunities, and address the university's current and future academic space shortage.

Construction for San Pedro II is nearing completion with an anticipated grand opening event in spring 2026. The 180,000-square-foot building will house courses for the new College of AI, Cyber and Computing. San Pedro I, which opened in January 2023, and San Pedro II are central to UT San Antonio’s long-term downtown development plan and larger placemaking efforts to create a hub for the university’s growing presence in AI research and high-technology fields.
