Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!

I hope this newsletter finds you preparing your workspaces and projects for the winter break. I wish you many blessings as you enjoy the holiday season and as you take a break from our typical work schedule. I want to also extend my sincerest thanks to all of the staff continuing service to our students over the winter break. I am grateful for your efforts to keep our areas operating during skeleton crew and I want you to know it is noticed by everyone.

During winter break, take the time to get recharged. Reflect on the past semester and prepare to return in the spring with a fresh perspective. Come back ready to change lives. Seems like a tall order, doesn’t it? In reality though, it’s something Student Affairs staff do every day. When you reflect on our work, remember that first and foremost.

I am also sending wishes for an amazing New Year a couple of weeks early. Before we meet again, 2016 will have arrived and I hope you set a couple of goals for the New Year. We will make sure to set aside some time to share them with each other.

PS:

Have I mentioned to you before that we are a world ranked institution? Not just once, but twice. I think I may have mentioned it a time or two. Have I?

Just kidding, I do realize that I mention it quite often because it is news that we should tell everyone. Tell everyone you know. Share our success with the people in your life and help recruit a Roadrunner in the process.

All the details are available at UTSA Today and at the Center for World University Rankings websites.

Happy Holidays!
Happy New Year!

Best wishes,

Sam
