QEP faculty and staff social is March 2 at Downtown Campus
(Feb. 26, 2010)--A QEP faculty and staff social is set for 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 2 in the Buena Vista Street Building Assembly Room (1.338) on the Downtown Campus. UTSA faculty and staff members are invited to enjoy free coffee and doughnuts, learn about the QEP, play games and win prizes while the supply lasts.
A social also is planned for the Main Campus at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 10 in the University Center Ballroom (1.104).
QEP is the Quality Enhancement Plan, an important part of UTSA's reaccreditation effort. The QEP entails quantitative scholarship, understanding the role of numbers in professional and personal lives, knowing how to reason and think using numbers, and using data to make decisions.
"I encourage UTSA faculty and staff to attend the socials at the Downtown and Main campuses to learn more about QEP and have some fun," said President Ricardo Romo. "Additionally, on March 23-25 UTSA will be hosting the review team from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools on our campuses. During these three days, do not be alarmed if someone stops you on campus and asks if you know basic information about the QEP."
For more information, contact Nancy Martin, UTSA associate vice provost for core curriculum and QEP, at 210-458-5187.
