UTSA master plan will call for more academic facilities, better connections, and mixed-use housing options
(Jan. 24, 2019) -- UTSA is holding two public meetings this month related to its Campus Master Plan initiative, which will guide the development of UTSA’s campuses over the next decade, supporting world-class instruction and research to meet the needs of a growing population. The San Antonio community is invited to learn more about the planning process and provide input at the meetings.
The Public Meeting for the Main Campus will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at Magnolia Halle, 10319 Huebner Rd., San Antonio, Texas 78240.
The Public Meeting for the Downtown Campus will be held from 5:30-7 p.m. on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Galeria Guadalupe, 723 S. Brazos, San Antonio, Texas 78207.
“UTSA is a growing university, with intentions to expand to over 45,000 students by 2028,” said Taylor Eighmy, UTSA President. “As we grow, it’s important to engage in regular dialogue with our community partners and campus neighbors to ensure an inclusive process.”
The university will be working with the planning and architecture firm Page and a Master Plan Steering Committee to develop a framework plan to support growth and excellence at both the Main and Downtown campuses.

Virtual (Zoom)In this workshop, attendees will be introduced to Pandas, a Python tool for working with data easily. It makes it simple to organize and analyze information when data is organized and categorized, like spreadsheets or tables.
Group Spot B, John Peace LibraryEach fall and spring semester, students convene at the Main Campus at UTSA with booths, ideas and prototypes. A crowd of judges, local organizations, students, faculty and sponsors walk around and talk to the students about their projects and ask questions. Students get the real-life experience of "pitching" their project with hopes of getting funding or support to move to the next level.
