Girls Inc. of San Antonio to honor UTSA athletic director Lisa Campos for positive community impact

MARCH 1, 2024 — UTSA Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Lisa Campos will be honored by Girls Inc. of San Antonio at its 19th annual Strong, Smart and Bold Luncheon on March 25. 

The Smart, Strong and Bold Luncheon honors strong female role models who demonstrate courage, grit and persistence to overcome challenges and thrive. Campos is being recognized as the Strong honoree. The event will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, March 25, at the San Antonio Country Club. Tickets are available here

Campos was introduced as UTSA’s Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics on November 17, 2017, and has made an immediate, positive impact on the athletics department, university and community during her time in San Antonio. She was one of five finalists for the 2022 Sports Business Journal’s Athletic Director of the Year award. Campos has elevated UTSA Athletics to new heights, most recently leading the Roadrunners into the American Athletic Conference as of July 1, 2023.
