APRIL 16, 2024 — While the Orange reigned supreme, the real winners of the UTSA Football Fiesta Spring Game were the fans.
On Saturday, April 13, more than 8,000 fans flocked to the Alamodome for the annual UTSA Football scrimmage, an official Fiesta San Antonio event since the team’s debut in 2011. The final score: 11-10 Orange (offense) team over the Blue (defense) team.
Dignitaries of the day’s event included Miss Fiesta and first-generation Roadrunner Ciara Davila, a senior in the UTSA Department of Biology.
The UTSA Football Fiesta Spring Game marked the conclusion of the Roadrunners’ spring season of 15 workouts, which began on March 4.
UTSA will kick off its 14th season of play and second as a member of the American Athletic Conference on Saturday, August 31, against Kennesaw State at the Alamodome.
The Fiesta festivities concluded with an autograph session on the field after the game.

Former UTSA superstar quarterback, Frank Harris, was among the fans, shaking hands at Saturday’s game. Earlier this year, Harris announced that he would be the new vice president of City Fans 210, a NIL fundraising organization.
Roadrunner Ciara Davila, a first-generation senior in the UTSA Department of Biology and Miss Fiesta 2024, cheered on her Roadrunners.
Also at the game were Austin Claunch, the new head coach for UTSA men's basketball, with Lisa Campos, UTSA vice president for Intercollegiate Athletics.

Group Spot B, John Peace LibraryEach fall and spring semester, students convene at the Main Campus at UTSA with booths, ideas and prototypes. A crowd of judges, local organizations, students, faculty and sponsors walk around and talk to the students about their projects and ask questions. Students get the real-life experience of "pitching" their project with hopes of getting funding or support to move to the next level.
