Career expos on September 18 and 25 will provide unique opportunities for UTSA students to meet recruiters from hundreds of top companies.
SEPTEMBER 5, 2024 — As the new academic year begins, the UTSA University Career Center (UCC) is prepared to support students and alumni in achieving their career goals. Whether it's exploring career options, preparing for job interviews or seeking internships, the Career Center offers a range of resources and tools tailored to every stage of the career journey.
By leveraging innovative technologies, offering hands-on workshops and fostering connections with top employers, the UCC equips Roadrunners with the skills and opportunities they need to thrive in today's dynamic job market.
This fall, the Career Center will host a variety of events designed to enhance career readiness and connect students and alumni with potential employers.
These in-person events provide unique opportunities for students to meet recruiters from hundreds of top companies. Whether actively searching for a job or just starting to explore options, these events are essential for all Roadrunners.
Building on the success of last spring’s pilot workshops, the UCC will continue its series of interactive hands-on sessions where career consultants guide participants through resume building, job searching and career exploration in real-time. Career labs will take place every weekday throughout the fall semester virtually from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. and in-person from 1 to 2 p.m. in the GM Financial Career Lab, located in the lobby of the Student Union (SU 2.02.04). Visit the UCC website for details.
Roadrunners also have access to a suite of best-in-class tools that make career exploration and preparation easier than ever.
In addition to attending events and exploring the tech tools, students can make an appointment to meet with one of UTSA’s expert career consultants. These experienced career advisors have a wealth of knowledge to help guide students and alumni through the college experience and help them find their dream job or internship. They use a variety of best-in-industry services to help connect Roadrunners with internships, prepare for interviews and build a strong network. They can even help students prepare for graduate studies, including law school and health professions programs like medical and dental schools.
The UTSA Career Center helps students and alumni imagine, discover, experience and design their future careers, no matter where they are in their career journey. It is one of seven units within the UTSA division of Career-Engaged Learning, which is giving students opportunities for experiential learning in the real world to prepare career-ready Roadrunners.
