OCTOBER 8, 2024 — Registration is now open for the Cybersecurity Manufacturing Innovation Institute’s 2024 annual meeting, the “Secure Together Summit.” The gathering will bring together industry leaders, national manufacturers and policymakers to discuss the latest advancements and innovations in cybersecurity and manufacturing.
The event is scheduled on Wednesday, October 16, and Thursday, October 17, at UTSA’s San Pedro I Building, located at 506 Dolorosa St. in downtown San Antonio.
“CyManII is deeply committed to strengthening and securing America’s manufacturing competitiveness through the introduction of new tools and comprehensive training programs,” said Howard Grimes, CEO of CyManII. “Insights and questions from attendees will be invaluable as we hear from representatives of the federal government and industry leaders who will provide insights into policy matters, the threat environment and how we stay secure together.”
Through initiatives like this mobile training vehicle, CyManII at UTSA works with the manufacturing industry, research and academic institutions, and federal government agencies to develop technologies that enable the security and growth of the U.S. manufacturing sector.
The Secure Together Summit will include a host of keynote speakers, top experts in cybersecurity and manufacturing, panel discussions for insightful conversations about the future of cyber-secure manufacturing, networking opportunities with peers, industry leaders and potential collaborators, and membership highlights where attendees can learn about the institute’s current members and their success stories.
Led by UTSA, CyManII was launched in 2020 by the U.S. Department of Energy, as part of the greater Manufacturing USA Network and as a Clean Energy Manufacturing Institute, to work across the manufacturing industry, research and academic institutions, and federal government agencies to develop technologies that enable the security and growth of the U.S. manufacturing sector. Simultaneously, CyManII is continuing its collaborative research to design and implement next-generation architectures that are cyber-inspired and secure by design.
CyManII is funded by the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy’s Advanced Manufacturing Office and co-managed with the Office of Cybersecurity, Energy Security and Energy Response. It is housed at UTSA, a leader in cybersecurity education and research.
