APRIL 1, 2025 — UTSA Giving Day is officially underway, launching at 10:11 a.m. today and running for 1,969 minutes until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 2. The university’s annual online fundraising campaign invites alumni, students, faculty, staff and supporters to rally behind the programs and initiatives that make UTSA thrive.
This year, UTSA is aiming to surpass 3,700 donors, an all-time high for Giving Day participation. The 2025 campaign takes place during a historic time for UTSA. With its upcoming merger and integration with UT Health San Antonio, the university is set to become the third-largest research institution in Texas. Funds raised during UTSA Giving Day will support students and faculty as they navigate this exciting transition, ensuring continued access to resources and opportunities for academic excellence.
“We’re at a transformational point in UTSA’s trajectory toward becoming a world-class university, and the generosity of our faculty, staff and alumni will continue to play an instrumental role in shaping our future,” said UTSA President Taylor Eighmy. “UTSA Giving Day embodies that spirit of generosity as we come together to invest in creating opportunities for our Roadrunners, advancing teaching and discovery, and enhancing resources that elevate our entire university.”
Together, we can set new records for UTSA in 2025.
Donors can contribute to a wide range of initiatives, including scholarships, athletics, and student and academic programs. Challenge gifts and matching funds will provide additional incentives, increasing the impact of each donation.
Contributing to UTSA Giving Day can make an impact on the student body.
On UTSA Giving Day, you can support any area that matters to you or any other UTSA program that matters to you:
“We have an incredible lineup of challenge donors who are ready to match gifts and inspire Roadrunners to give,” said Karl Miller-Lugo, UTSA vice president for advancement and alumni engagement. “With over $200,000 in challenge funds available, this UTSA Giving Day will leave a lasting impact.”
The Spirit of San Antonio (SOSA) is a part of the UTSA Giving Day festivities. They are also one of the programs that can benefit from the annual fundraiser.
Since its inception, UTSA Giving Day has raised over $2.3 million, fueling transformative opportunities across campus. With the conclusion of Be Bold: A Campaign for our Future and a historic year ahead, Roadrunners have the chance to make an even greater impact in 2025.
“Every gift, no matter the size, helps UTSA take the next step forward,” said Miller-Lugo. “It’s the collective power of thousands of donors that drives progress and opportunity.”
