Budget Appointments

All faculty salary rates (academic rates) listed in the budget are nine-month rates (September 1-May 31). All Administrative and Professional personnel salary rates are based on twelve-months (September 1 through August 31). All appointments of classified personnel are based on twelve months and are made within the appropriate salary ranges as defined by the classified personnel pay plan approved by the UT Board of Regents.

All maintenance and operation, equipment and travel appropriations are for twelve months (September 1-August 31) and should be budgeted and expended accordingly.

Lapsed Salary Policy

Each Executive Officer's area has been authorized to retain educational and general lapsed salaries consistent with state law. Such resources cannot be used to make permanent commitments, but can be used for one-time allocations such as equipment, travel, etc.
