Roadrunner Days Week 1
August brings with it the promise of fresh beginnings and vibrant connections as Roadrunner Days 2023 takes center stage. This dynamic celebration is held at the start of each fall and spring semester to immerse new and returning students in the culture, traditions and values of UTSA.

Roadrunner Days features a full line-up of events, seminars and socials that will help students develop a sense of belonging at the university, encourage them to meet new people and introduce them to university resources that will help them succeed on campus and in the classroom. It begins on Saturday, August 19 and runs through Saturday, September 2.

Key events include:
  • the UTSA Move-in Market, enabling students to choose from among thousands of free items that enhance their homes
  • Comedy Night with featured comedian Angel Gaines
  • the Family Association Welcome and Social, which includes appetizers and drinks at Willie’s Roadhouse for UTSA parents and family members
  • Late Night at the Rec, an evening of fun, games, giveaways and excitement as well as a change to learn about UTSA’s recreation programs and wellness centers
  • Midnight Light, a late-night dance party set beneath the stars to celebrate the start of the new academic year
  • A Day in the Life of UTSA Athletics, enabling students to connect with student-athletes and tour the Roadrunner Athletics Center of Excellence (RACE) facility
  • Celebrate UTSA, an opportunity for Roadrunners to meet cultural and identity-based UTSA organizations and taste delicious food from all over the world
  • Get Involved + Volunteer Fair, a hub uniting the Roadrunner community with student organizations and community agencies in San Antonio
  • the Fraternity and Sorority Life Informational, a mandatory meeting for any undergraduate who is interested in joining a Greek organization at UTSA in Fall 2023
  • Meet Your Representatives, an opportunity to meet elected Student Government Association leaders and explore opportunities to serve and make a difference within the UTSA community
  • Coffee with a Cop, a get-together that builds better relationships between members of the university police force and the campus community
  • Howdy Rowdy Bash, a celebration at Six Flags Fiesta Texas featuring rides, games and a DJ/Foam party
  • the UTSA Alumni Gala, where legacies will be honored and connections rekindled, embodying the essence of UTSA's enduring unity.
The first week of Roadrunner Days will offer opportunities for UTSA students to connect with other students. The second week will focus on connecting students to valuable campus resources.
