Business Continuity

Business continuity planning is an essential process to safeguard UTSA from potential disruptions, including natural disasters, cyber threats and more. Through careful planning and preparation, the Business Continuity & Emergency Management (BCEM) team helps ensure the university effectively maintains essential functions and research activities at all times.

Planning and Preparation

The BCEM team supports departments through the business continuity planning process. BCEM provides a departmental survey to collect information on essential functions, then works with each area to help develop recovery processes. Constructive input and active participation are crucial to this collaborative process.

Veoci

The university uses Veoci, an emergency management and crisis response communications tool, to respond to events that could impact business continuity. Veoci supports creating business continuity plans, sharing information with stakeholders and quickly responding to events.

Designated business continuity planners will receive access to the Veoci system directly from BCEM.
