San Antonio Sports Corporate Cup brings spirit of competition to UTSA
The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) will participate in the San Antonio Sports Corporate Cup from May 6 through June 3. This annual event is an opportunity for the university to engage with the community by embracing the spirit of competition in activities ranging from challenging—a relay race and basketball tournament—to humorous—a hula hoop challenge and potato sack race.
This year’s Corporate Cup includes a variety of activities and events, such as the Fit Family Challenge 5K Run, which was held on May 6, as well as pickle ball tournaments throughout the month of May and the University Health 3v3 Basketball Tournament on June 2-3. The majority of events will take place from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on June 3 at the University of the Incarnate Word.
For those who wish to support Team UTSA but are unable to participate in a sporting event, there are other ways to join the fun. UTSA Wellness is seeking volunteers to assist with setting up, participant check-in, event support and cleanup on June 3. Setup begins at 6 a.m. and cleanup will occur around 1 p.m. Volunteers can assist for the full duration or their preferred portion of the day. To volunteer, contact UTSA Team Captain, Bryanda Dominguez.
Additionally, you can lend your support by voting for UTSA’s “Get Rowdy & Win!” shirt design in the RBFCU T-shirt Design Challenge. Anyone—students, faculty, staff and the general public—can vote online once per day through May 31. Be sure to bookmark the voting link and submit your vote each day. Encourage your family, friends and colleagues to do the same!
UTSA employees can register for the Corporate Cup team through May 26. For more information, visit People Excellence.
