UTSA Public Safety Brings Extra Cheer to the Holidays
UTSA Public Safety is excited to partner with Toys for Tots to bring smiles to local families in need this holiday season by serving as an official Toys for Tots donation drop-off site. The Roadrunner community is invited to contribute toward this fun, meaningful cause.
To participate, bring donations of new, unwrapped toys to one of the following drop box locations:
- Bosque Street Building, lobby
- Community Engagement Office, SU 1.00.40
Donations must be dropped off by Nov. 25. Departments can also participate by hosting their own toy donation boxes. Call Public Safety at 210-458-4242 to request a decorated box for your department.
Sgt. Eric Weber, of Public Safety’s Community Engagement team—and resident Blue Santa—expressed his excitement about this year’s toy drive: "Every year, we try to do something special for families. We are very happy to work with the Toys for Tots organization. We hope to see lots of participation so we can bring extra cheer to as many local children as possible this holiday season!"
Toys for Tots, a nationally recognized charitable organization, has worked tirelessly for over seven decades to ensure every child can experience the joy of unwrapping a gift during the holiday season. Through the generosity of individuals, businesses and organizations like UTSA, Toys for Tots distributes millions of toys to children in need each year.
