Telecommuter Employee Parking Pass

Telecommuter Parking

The Telecommuter Employee Parking Pass allows quick access to hourly parking in the Main Campus garages. This pass is a reloadable RFID hangtag, similar to the FastPass.

Purchasing or Reloading a Telecommuter Pass

Visit the Bauerle Road or Ximenes Avenue Garage cashier windows at the Main Campus. A cashier will assist you with the purchase. For every $1 you load to your pass, you will receive a $2 value. A minimum of $10 is required when purchasing a telecommuter pass.

When it’s time to reload funds on your pass, follow these steps:

  1. Scan the QR code on the back of the telecommuter pass
  2. Login via the MyParking portal
  3. Under “PERMITS” click on “View Your Permits”
  4. Select your active telecommuter permit
  5. Click on “Add Value.” Funds can be reloaded to your pass in $5 increments.
  6. Select payment method
  7. Accept the terms and conditions
  8. Click on “Submit”

How to Park with a Telecommuter Pass

Main Campus

The telecommuter pass is valid at any Main Campus garage: the Ximenes Avenue Garage, the Bauerle Road Garage and the Tobin Avenue Garage. To park, display your hangtag from your rearview mirror and head to your preferred garage. The RFID sensors at the garage gates will read your permit when you enter and exit the garage, and hourly funds will be automatically deducted from your account.

Downtown Locations

While telecommuter passes currently only work at Main Campus garages, you have options when parking at the university’s downtown locations, including the Downtown Campus, San Pedro I and the Southwest Campus.

  • ParkMobile is an easy way to utilize hourly parking throughout UTSA campuses. ParkMobile parking spaces are clearly marked with highly visible signs and can be located on UTSA’s color-coded parking maps. For detailed instructions, FAQs and download links, visit ParkMobile.

  • Daily-use “scratch off” permits are a flexible and affordable parking option available to UTSA students and employees. Once purchased, simply scratch off the correct month and date when you wish to use the permit and hang it from the vehicle rear-view mirror with the scratched-off portion clearly visible. Daily-use permits are available on the Main Campus at the Bauerle Road Garage and Ximenes Ave Garage cashier booths and at Campus Services’ downtown office, located in the Frio Street Building, room 2.424C. Daily-use permits are $7 each and there is no limit on how many can be purchased.
