Today is World Mental Health Day—a globally recognized day to raise awareness about critical mental health issues to encourage action that creates lasting change. As a campus community, it provides an opportune time to reaffirm our commitment to fostering an environment that supports well-being.
While we recognize the significance of today, we also know how important it is to live out this commitment every day. We encourage you to reach out to friends, peers, and colleagues on a regular basis to check in, offer support, and let them know they are not alone.
We invite you to explore UTSA’s free resources and participate in well-being efforts across campus, Also, Academic Affairs recently launched a well-being task force to amplify, enhance and expand well-being programs Other resources include:

- UT Health Wellness 360 Counseling Services – Short-term individual counseling, group counseling and psychiatry
- Timely Care – Available 24/7 virtual, on-demand emotional support, appointment-based counseling, and advanced psychiatric care
- Crisis Help Line – Crisis assistance is available by phone 24/7 at (210) 458-4140
- Wellbeing Services – Skill-building, programming, and prevention efforts throughout the academic year

- Deer Oaks Employee Assistance Program– Confidential counseling, referral, and consultation services for faculty and staff. The toll-free hotline is available 24/7 at (888) 993-7650.
- Healthy Minds at Work– Available on-demand from Deer Oaks beginning Oct.10, this free online seminar explores ways to craft supportive workplaces that promote employee engagement and resilience.
- Use theiConnectYou app for 24-hour professional support via call, video, or text.
- 988 Lifelineprovides 24/7, free and confidential support for people in distress, prevention and crisis resources.
