Police Department
The UTSA Police Department (UTSAPD) is a full-service law enforcement agency committed to protecting Roadrunners and surrounding communities of our campuses. We serve in a fair and equitable manner for those who are part of the community. Our police officers are specially trained on how to provide professional law enforcement services and meet the public safety needs of the university. We partner with local, state and federal agencies to ensure we provide support for the safety of the greater San Antonio community, helping to fulfill the mission of UTSA as an urban-serving institution.
The department is administered by a command staff that includes the chief of police, assistant chief of police, two captains and two lieutenants. Assistant Chief Angel Lemmonds oversees police operations.
