Signage

The Office of the University Architect maintains and updates wayfinding and signage throughout UTSA. Wayfinding and signage for universities is a key component for making a good impression on prospective students and visitors. It also contributes to the university’s strong sense of place. Our goal is to ensure that signage throughout the campus makes getting around easy and functional. We follow specific standards for wayfinding and signs, and work closely with the Facilities Sign shop on the following requests:

  • Update door signage
    • Vinyl lettering in store fronts
    • Vinyl wraps
  • Update room numbers
  • Update department signs
  • Interior and exterior wayfinding

Our office will make sure your needs are met with quality signage and wayfinding. We help you and your department with the following:

  • Specify the finishes
  • Approve final layouts and specs
  • Submit purchase order to vendor and follow up with delivery schedule
  • Help coordinate the delivery and installation
  • Follow up with punch items (if any)
