The University Career Center will host March into Your Major on Wednesday, March 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the H-E-B University Center Ballroom (HUC 1.104). The event is free and open to all UTSA students.

The event is designed to help students who are unsure of their major, career path or future goals by providing them with the opportunity to speak with a variety of university staff and experts.

Students will be able to meet with academic advisors to learn about the majors offered at UTSA, meet with student leaders, receive a four-year career action plan and speak with representatives from various UTSA academic programs and student services including career counselors from the University Career Center.

The event will also feature door prizes, including five $100 textbook credits from the UTSA RowdyCampus store.

Last spring’s event drew 1,108 students. In the three years of this event the number of rising sophomores who have declared a major increased from 17.4% to 41.7%.

Faculty and academic departments interested in participating can find out more information and register online.

Or get in touch with Heidi Sawyer from the University Career Center by phone at 210-458-4589.
