Administrative Support Section

 

What we do:

The Administrative Support Section is commanded by Lt. Stephanie Schoenborn. That section has oversight of the police department budget, employment, internal affairs, background checks and other critical support areas.

 

padula.jpgLieutenant Stephanie Schoenborn has been with the UTSA Police Department for over 20 years.  She began as a Lost and Found Clerk and then attended the 60th UT System Basic Peace Officer Training Academy in 1995 to become a police officer.  She graduated from UTSA with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice in 2000.  She is holds a Master Peace Officer license and graduated from the 238th session of the FBI National Academy.  She currently serves as a member of the executive board for the Texas Chapter of the National Academy Associates.  She was promoted to Lieutenant in 2006 and is responsible for the administrative operations of the Department.  This includes, budget preparation, internal affairs, purchasing, criminal background checks, recruiting and many other administrative functions.  Previous positions held include Patrol Sergeant, Training Sergeant and Investigations Division Supervisor.
