Career Fair to Highlight Growth and Connections for Academic Campus Staff
The academic campus will host an Internal Career Fair on Tuesday, June 23, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the North Paseo Building (NPB), offering staff an opportunity to explore career pathways, build networks and invest in their professional growth.
Centered on the theme “Bloom Where You Are Planted,” the event is designed to help staff gain a broader view of roles across campus while connecting them with resources that support professional growth and skill development.
Hosted by People Excellence, the event will bring together representatives from departments and units across the academic campus, giving attendees the opportunity to connect with colleagues, learn about different areas of the university and explore how their talents align with institutional needs.
“The internal career fair is an important step in strengthening employee success,” said Katy Madden, vice president for People Excellence. “By creating meaningful opportunities for staff to connect and explore career pathways, we are fostering a workplace where employees can continue to grow within UT San Antonio.”
In addition to networking, the event will offer micro-learning sessions that include practical tools staff can apply in their current roles and prepare them for the future. Topics include understanding the Employee Education Benefit (EEB), LinkedIn Learning, Coursera upskilling opportunities and individual development planning.
Attendees can expect:
- Insight into internal career pathways and advancement options
- Networking with campus departments
- Access to professional development resources and learning platforms
Registration is not required to attend the internal career fair, although due to limited seating, registration for the micro-learning sessions is highly recommended. Academic campus staff are encouraged to attend to learn, connect and invest in their continued growth at UT San Antonio.
