  University Excellence Awards

The annual University Excellence Awards celebrate the achievements of Roadrunner faculty and staff, ranging from exceptional teaching and innovative research to exemplary team spirit and impactful advocacy.

  Staff Appreciation Award

Through the Staff Appreciation Award, Staff Senate aims to recognize high achievement through contributions made by full-time eligible staff who further the vision, mission, and core-values of the university. Nominate a staff member or team of staff members who deserve recognition.

  Faculty Awards

UTSA offers multiple opportunities for faculty to advance professionally and be recognized for their achievements.

  Business Affairs Awards

Through the Business Affairs awards program, each major area within Business Affairs recognizes outstanding employees on their teams through a quarterly award. Business Affairs team members are invited to nominate individuals and teams for these awards, with nominations accepted on an ongoing basis. This awards program aligns with the Business Affairs strategic pathway to cultivate a compassionate, inspiring and empowering workplace .

External Awards & Recognition Opportunities

  CUPA-HR Higher Education Human Resources Awards

The College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR) Higher Education HR Awards recognize the efforts of individuals, teams and institutions who are transforming human resources at their institutions and influencing the profession on a wider scale. Timeline: Nominations Open in February and close in March. Winners are announced in the summer.

  SACUBO Awards

The Southern Association of College and University Business Officers (SACUBO) Best Practices Program showcases the best of college and university business officers' efforts in creating better, more efficient, and customer-friendly business practices. Finalists are invited to present their “best practice” at the SACUBO Annual Meeting. Deadline for submission: January.

  San Antonio PRSA

The San Antonio Public Relations Society of America (SA PRSA) holds its annual Del Oro Awards contest and ceremony to recognize the outstanding contributions of individuals in the public relations field as well as their excellent work. The San Antonio contest is modeled after the national PRSA Silver and Bronze Anvil Awards. Deadline for submission: February.
