Whether you’re an employee seeking assistance through services like Deer Oaks or MDLIVE, or a student exploring counseling and wellbeing support, you’ll find resources for confidential, professional help, available 24/7.

Employee Resources

  • Veteran Crisis Line - 24/7 confidential crisis support for veterans and their loved ones.
  • Deer Oaks – 24/7 counseling line for benefits-eligible employees (1-888-993-7650).
  • Deer Oaks app (iConnectyou) – 24/7 free professional support for benefits-eligible employees.
  • MDLIVEBehavioral health services for UT Select members (requires an appointment and video connection) via online video, mobile app or phone with $0 copay.
  • Learn to Live (L2L) – Behavioral health digital platform offering counseling services for UT select members.
  • Headway – Behavioral health service that matches UT Select members with an in-network mental health specialist (fees may apply and are available prior to booking).
  • UT Select Behavioral Health Services – In-person and telemedicine office visits, outpatient services and inpatient programs for UT select members (pre-authorization may be required).
  • UT Living Well resources – Resource page with links to mental health resources for UT Benefits-eligible employees.
  • National Alliance on Mental Illness - Greater San Antonio – Resource hub supporting those navigating a mental health crisis.
  • San Antonio Crisis Helpline – 24/7 crisis and substance use helpline (1-800-316-9241 or 210-223-7233).

Student Resources

UTSA students have access to professional, confidential mental health resources to support their emotional and psychological needs through Wellbeing Services. Resources available include individual counseling, group therapy, workshops/trainings and crisis support, all provided by trained professionals. Wellbeing Services also offers mental health screenings, stress management tools and referrals for specialized care when needed.
