Roadrunners show spirit and teamwork at 2026 Corporate Cup
UT San Antonio employees came together the last week of May to showcase their teamwork, energy and Roadrunner spirit at the 2026 San Antonio Sports Corporate Cup, an annual citywide event that promotes wellness, camaraderie and community engagement.
Held on Saturday, May 30, at the University of the Incarnate Word, the Corporate Cup brought together more than 75 teams and drew over 6,000 participants and spectators. Teams from local San Antonio organizations competed in a variety of Olympic-style events ranging from competitive sports to lighthearted challenges. The Corporate Cup is designed to bring colleagues together through shared experiences that promote health, collaboration and a sense of community.
UT San Antonio employees competed in a wide range of activities, including fan-favorite field day events, while connecting with co-workers across departments in a fun and supportive environment. They delivered standout performances, earning a first-place finish in the Soccer Kicks Skill competition, where team UT San Antonio secured an impressive 116 points to claim the top spot.
Beyond the competition, the Corporate Cup continues to serve a greater purpose. Each year, the event incorporates a Charity Challenge, with proceeds supporting local nonprofit organizations, youth sports and fitness programs across San Antonio. This year, UT San Antonio’s generosity earned top honors, a testament to the Roadrunner community’s ongoing commitment to giving back.
Events like the Corporate Cup reflect UT San Antonio’s ongoing commitment to supporting employee wellness and creating opportunities for connection beyond the workplace. The UT San Antonio team demonstrated that success is measured not only in points earned, but in the relationships built and the community strengthened along the way.
