Welcome to Student Affairs! We are glad you are here!
Employees paid on a monthly basis who work during the month of December 2016 are scheduled to be paid on the first workday of January as mandated by the State of Texas. Because January 1 falls on a Sunday, the first workday for UTSA will be Monday, January 2, 2017.
It is important to be aware that, for holidays falling on a Sunday, all Federal Reserve banks and branches are officially closed the following Monday.
Though banks are officially closed, they still have several options for how they do business. They may open their lobby and customer service lines. However, because they are officially closed, they are not required to post direct-deposit payments. This means state employees cannot be assured that their direct deposits will be posted to their accounts until the next business day, which is January 3, 2017.
Paper checks will be readily available in accordance with the January 2 pay day.
