Welcome to Student Affairs! We are glad you are here!
The Staff Development Team is excited to announce that registration for the 2016 Student Affairs Conference is now open! Please register online today, and don’t forget to add March 4, 2016 to your outlook calendars!
The Student Affairs Conference proposal deadline has been extended to Tuesday, December 8, 2015. We have received many excellent proposals and want to encourage you to share your knowledge and expertise with your colleagues at UTSA and other student affairs professionals throughout San Antonio. Join us on the UC Paseo from 6-8pm as we light up this part of campus for the very first time! The event will bring together the campus community as we celebrate the holiday season.
Free food, live music, performances and activities will be provided. Student organizations will showcase their individual cultural winter holidays throughout the event with unique displays and performances.
The lights will be switched on for the first time around 7pm by our own Rowdy the Roadrunner! Come out and join the celebration!
The Department of Housing and Residence Life has started the recruitment process for the 2016-2017 Resident Assistant job position. Information Sessions for the RA application process and job description information will start Oct. 12th, and the job application will open November 3, 2015. Please feel free to share this information with students in your areas that may be interested.
RowdyLink now has an app for android and iphone devices! The app is called Corq and can be downloaded from the Google Play Store and Apple Store!.
Corq helps college and university students discover and locate engaging co-curricular opportunities on and around their campus. Taking advantage of the vast library of events and organizations from the RowdyLink co-curricular management system, Corq also helps institutions of higher education clearly tell their outside-of-the classroom story in an interactive way to prospective students, family members, and community stakeholders. Corq and RowdyLink are proudly produced by Campus Labs in Buffalo, NY.
Get Connected. Get Involved. Get Rowdy.
The UTSA community can contact Counseling Services at 210-458-4140 for support both during and after office hours. UTSA Counseling Services has offered after-hours on-call services since 2003, utilizing existing staff members. On-call services were previously accessed through UTSA Police Dispatch and so were limited to client crisis/emergency or police consultation.
Going forward, UTSA Counseling Services has contracted with ProtoCall, a leading provider of third-party telephone behavioral services, to provide after office hour counseling services. By contracting with ProtoCall, the entire UTSA Community will have immediate access to a qualified mental health professional 24/7. Protocall professionals are experienced with college student mental health and will have access to UTSA and San Antonio-specific information and resources. ProtoCall will alert UTSA Counseling Services of over-night calls so that staff members can provide timely follow-up.
