Student Employee of the Month – Deborah Luster
The offices of Student Life and Student Conduct and Community Standards recognizes Deborah Luster as Student Employee of the Month for August 2016.
This is the second time Deborah has been recognized as a leading student employee. One staff member commented, “Deborah brings it every day, every time!” Deborah is attentive to detail and very responsible, arriving to work on time, and completing tasks before her shift ends. We are using Student Affairs’ model of the REACH objectives to challenge our students. We congratulate Deborah on being the recipient of this award for A – Active Leadership.

Student Employee of the Month – Maria Slaughter
The offices of Student Life and Student Conduct and Community Standards recognized Maria Slaughter as Student Employee of the Month for July 2016.
Maria has exhibited leadership skills by taking the initiative to prepare for special meetings, ensuring everything runs smoothly in the absence of her supervisor. Maria also took responsibility to inform a new staff member about giveaways. The staff member commented, “Instead of just taking my request, Maria took the time to explain the policy and procedures for retrieving the items.” Maria is accurate and thorough in completing assigned tasks and has a keen eye for detail. Our offices use Student Affairs’ REACH model to challenge our student employees, and congratulate Maria as the recipient of this award for A-Active Leadership and C-Critical Thinking.
