Lost & Found

The UTSA Police Department (UTSAPD) provides a Lost and Found service, that is available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Found property turned in to the UTSAPD is stored for 60 days. Items that not accepted include: worn/used clothing (this includes clothing inside of backpacks, purses, etc.), food and drink containers, broken items, leaking items, items of little to no value, soiled items, items that present a sanitation risk and wet items. This also includes items that can and/or do pose a hazard, including, but not limited to, batteries, paints, lighters and other items that have special disposal requirements.

If you lost an item on campus, select one of the following options:

• Fill out the Report Lost and Found Property form and provide as much detail as you can
• Call 210-458-6247 to report your lost property
• Visit the Bosque Building Lost and Found Window
• Email us with the details

If you found an item on campus:

• Fill out the same form, then bring the item (s) to the Bosque Building on Main Campus
• If returning a found item after hours, follow the instructions on our lobby lockers in the Bosque Building for securing the items
• Items found on university grounds should be turned into our respective offices situated across the four campuses.

• You must accurately describe the property that was lost
• Present a valid Texas driver’s license, UTSA photo ID card or another valid photo ID card
• After 60 days, property is transferred to the Surplus Property Department for public auctions or further disposition
